Infor® CloudSuite Distribution EDI integration
Comparatio connects to CSD through Infor’s ION API gateway, so EDI orders and supplier documents post as CSD transactions, not flat files. Our engineers build and run every map.

Documents
CloudSuite Distribution EDI documents, both directions
Distributors sell and buy on EDI. Comparatio covers both sides of CSD: customer orders in and documents back out, purchase orders to suppliers and their acknowledgments, ASNs and invoices back in.

| 850 Purchase order | From customer | Sales order, created through SX.API | Available |
| 860 PO change | From customer | Sales order, changed or cancelled | Available |

How the integration works
Infor’s own API, end to end
ION API gateway
Comparatio signs in with an ION API service account you create in your tenant, and calls SX.API, the API Infor provides for CloudSuite Distribution.
No flat files
Inbound documents post as CSD transactions. Outbound documents are read through CSD’s read-only service interface. Nothing waits in a folder for an import job.
Duplicate orders caught
Before an order is created, Comparatio checks CSD for the same customer PO, so a resent 850 doesn’t become a second order.
Holds for review
Orders that need a second look can be created on hold, so your team reviews them before they release.
Multi-company
Set the CSD company per customer or per supplier. Each company gets its own connection.
Warehouses
Orders take the warehouse from the EDI document or a default. Outbound documents can be limited to the warehouses you choose.
Verified connection
Calls to your Infor tenant run over TLS with certificate and hostname verification.
Test tenant first
Every flow is proven in your CSD test tenant with real partner documents before it is switched on in live.
Monitored by engineers
Missing acknowledgments, unconfirmed orders and absent ASNs open a ticket with our team, usually before your customer notices.
Still on SX.e?
Infor SX.e today, CloudSuite Distribution tomorrow
Comparatio also connects to on-premises SX.e: EDI orders and supplier invoices import through SX.e’s web services, and 855, 856 and 810 go out from SX.e’s own exports. When you move to CSD, your trading-partner connections and maps stay with Comparatio; only the ERP connection changes.

Who does what
Managed EDI: what we run, and what your team does
Some providers sell software and leave the maps, partner testing and monitoring to you. With Comparatio, those are our job. Your team owns the CSD side.

| Task | Comparatio | Your team |
|---|---|---|
| Trading-partner maps | Builds every map and changes it when a partner’s requirements change | Forwards partner notices if they reach you first |
| Partner testing | Runs the test cycle with each trading partner | Checks that test orders look right in your CSD test tenant |
| Connections | Sets up and maintains AS2, SFTP and VAN connections and certificates | Nothing |
| Monitoring | Watches for missing orders, acknowledgments and ASNs, and opens the ticket | Makes the business call when one is needed |
| CSD connection | Configures the ION API connection, companies and warehouses | Creates the ION API service account and an SX operator for EDI |
| Items and partners | Maps partner item numbers and UPCs to CSD products | Keeps CSD customer, vendor and product records current |
| Business rules | Configures them in the integration | Decides them: order holds, default warehouses, which POs go out by EDI |
How it works
From test tenant to live trading partners
- 1
Connect
Your admin creates the ION API service account and an SX operator for EDI. We connect to your CSD test tenant and confirm the companies and warehouses.
- 2
Map and test
We map each trading partner and run real test documents through the test tenant: orders in, acknowledgments, ASNs and invoices out, supplier documents in.
- 3
Go live
Each flow is switched on in your live tenant once it has passed in test. We watch every document from day one.
FAQ
CloudSuite Distribution EDI, asked and answered
Does Infor CloudSuite Distribution support EDI?
Yes, through an EDI provider. Translation, trading-partner connections and monitoring happen outside CSD. Comparatio provides all three and posts the documents into CSD through Infor’s ION API gateway.
Do we need Infor ION for EDI?
You need access to the ION API gateway, which comes with CloudSuite, and a service account for Comparatio. There are no ION Connect flows or BODs to build.
Does Comparatio use flat files with CSD?
No. Orders and supplier documents post as CSD transactions through SX.API, and outbound documents are read through CSD’s read-only service interface. Nothing waits in a folder for an import job.
Which EDI documents does Comparatio support for CloudSuite Distribution?
Customer orders (850) and changes (860) in; acknowledgments (855), ASNs (856), invoices (810), inventory (846) and price catalogs (832) out. On the buying side, purchase orders (850) out and supplier acknowledgments, ASNs and invoices (855, 856, 810) in. 3PL ship confirmations (945) come in too.
How does it handle multiple companies and warehouses?
The CSD company can be set per customer or supplier, and each company gets its own connection. Orders take the warehouse from the EDI document or a default, and outbound documents can be limited to the warehouses you choose.
We are still on SX.e. Can Comparatio help?
Yes. On-premises SX.e imports EDI orders and supplier invoices through its web services, and 855, 856 and 810 go out from SX.e’s own exports. When you move to CSD, your trading-partner connections and maps stay with Comparatio; only the ERP connection changes.
Can we test before anything touches our live tenant?
Yes. Every flow runs in your CSD test tenant first, with real documents from your trading partners, before it is switched on in live.
Is Comparatio a managed or a self-service EDI provider?
Managed. Our engineers build and change the maps, test with each trading partner, maintain the connections and watch every document. Your team creates the ION API service account and keeps CSD records current.
How long does CloudSuite Distribution EDI take to set up?
Connecting CSD takes days to a few weeks, depending mostly on how quickly the ION API service account and test tenant are ready. Each new trading partner typically goes live in 4–8 weeks, paced by how quickly the partner tests.
